Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Ombudsman Program

The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) has established a new Office of Workers’ Compensation Ombudsman to provide advice and assistance to employees and small businesses. “Our goal is to help injured workers and small businesses who are having problems navigating the workers’ compensation system,” said Ken Peterson, DLI commissioner. He said the ombudsman “will complement the other services provided by our agency’s Safety and Workers’ Compensation Division and will be an additional resource for parties who need in-depth help in resolving problems they encounter in the workers’
